T20 World Cup 2023: South Africa advances to final after defeating Afghanistan

17 November 2023: South Africa emerged victorious over Afghanistan in the first semifinal of the ICC T20 World Cup 2023 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba, Trinidad and Tobago.
South Africa's bowlers put on an outstanding performance, restricting Afghanistan to a modest score of 9 wickets. The Afghanistan innings came to an end at 67 balls, giving South Africa the biggest win margin in terms of balls remaining in a T20I match. Previously, South Africa held the record for a 51-ball victory against Pakistan.
South Africa will now face the winner of the second semifinal between India and Australia in the final match of the tournament.
